MAPAS held a media briefing on strengthening the pension system

MAPAS held a media briefing where the President of the Council of Experts, Remzi Bajrami, together with the members of the Council and the Agency’s experts, presented the latest information and directions for the development of the fully funded pension system. The briefing was also attended by representatives of the four pension companies operating in the country.

During the presentations, the importance of financial literacy was emphasized as a key prerequisite for a stable financial future and for making informed decisions by the members. The benefits of membership in the second and third pension pillars were clarified, including the rights deriving from that membership, as well as the investment approach and the returns generated through the pension funds. Special attention was given to the pension payout models, with the aim of helping members better understand the options available to them upon retirement.

The briefing reaffirmed MAPAS’s commitment to advancing the pension system, increasing transparency, and continuously supporting financial education as essential components of a stable and sustainable system.
