On the occasion of the Financial Literacy Days, MAPAS held an educational session for the employees of the Municipality of Tetovo, with the aim of enhancing financial awareness and improving understanding of the pension system. The event was organized in cooperation with the municipality as part of the shared efforts to strengthen financial literacy at the local level.
Participants were introduced to the functioning of all three pillars of the fully funded pension system, the calculation of contributions, individual accounts, and the digital tools that provide transparent access to personal pension savings. The content was presented in a practical and clear manner, helping employees better understand their long-term financial outlook.
The President of the Council of Experts of MAPAS, Mr. Remzi Bajrami, addressed the audience, stating:
“It is a pleasure to be here in Tetovo today and, together with the municipality, to continue the activities aimed at strengthening financial literacy. Our goal is simple – to bring institutions closer to the citizens and ensure that every employee has clear and accurate information about their pension security. As the regulator, MAPAS will continue to work transparently, proactively and in partnership with local authorities to improve financial literacy and strengthen trust in the pension system.“
The session concluded with an interactive discussion, including questions and clarifications that contributed to a deeper understanding of the pension system and its benefits.
Through this activity, MAPAS once again underlined the significance of the Financial Literacy Days as a reminder that timely and accurate information is essential for responsible and sustainable financial decision-making.
