Global Money Week 2022: “Build your future, be smart about money”

The Coordinating Body of Financial Regulators for Financial Education and Financial Inclusion, in cooperation with the associations and the institutions from the private and civil sector that are active in the field of financial education, for the tenth consecutive year, celebrate Global Money Week from 21 to 27 March 2022.

This year’s topic “Build your future, be smart about money” recaptures the importance of the thinking about your own future when making important financial decisions. This topic not only encourages young people to think about the future, but also encourages the organizations participants in Global Money Week to think about the future when they plan their activities for 2022, providing flexibility to settle the issues in the field of financial sustainability and digitalization of financial services.

The lectures will be intended for the students from the elementary and from the secondary schools from our country, on topics from the areas covered by the individual institutions, related to the functioning of the financial system.

On a global level, Global Money Week has been celebrated since 2012, with the sole interruption in 2020 due to the pandemic, whereby from 2021 it is being organized by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). This global initiative, which has so far been celebrated in more than 176 countries in the world, that covers 53 million children and young people, raises the awareness of young people about financial education and increases their knowledge of money, savings, employment and entrepreneurship. Every year, young people discuss, read and learn about the economic and financial systems through various activities carried out by financial and educational institutions.
