The exam for an agent is taken in order to check the necessary professional knowledge for performing pension funds marketing activities. An agent exam can be taken by a person who meets the following criteria:
- To be a citizen of the Republic of North Macedonia,
- To have a residency in the Republic of North Macedonia,
- To have completed at least secondary education
- with a legally binding decision not to have been banned from performing a profession, activity or duty as long as the consequences of that decision last
The agents exam is taken according to a program that contains the material, regulations and literature. The program for taking the exam in the respective field is adopted by the Agency.
The agent exam is conducted at least twice a year (May and November).
The pension company submits the request for taking the exam to the Agency together with evidence for meeting the criteria for taking the exam, prescribed by law. The candidate is allowed to start taking the exam in the first following term from the day of the approved request for taking the exam. Candidates who have been approved for the exam, the pension company and the public are informed about the exam time and date, at least eight days before the exam through the Agency website and the Public Broadcasting Service.
