Principles of private pension supervision

The Managing Board of the Agency for Supervision of Fully Funded Pension Insurance (MAPAS) on its meeting, held on December 25, 2007, concluded that the Agency should follow the IOPS* Principles of private pension supervision.

As basis for its policy for supervising the private pension funds, the Agency will follow the

IOPS Principles of private pension supervision. 

The level of application of these principles will depend on the level of development of the fully funded pension insurance and the status of the Agency.

The Agency continuously will develop other principles appropriate to the Macedonian pension system, that shall be implemented together with the IOPS Principles of private pension supervision.
